The Art of Composing a Wall
Hanging art is about more than just hammering a nail. It's about creating a visual story. For those who love the sea and Gotland, a gallery wall with a coastal theme is a fantastic way to give a room character.
How to build your gallery wall:
Find a common thread: Choose a color scheme that recurs in all pictures. This could be the turquoise water from Blå Lagunen combined with the bright sand dunes at Sudersand.
Mix perspectives: Combine a grand panoramic shot of the coast with an abstract "Top-down" image of waves. This creates dynamism and makes the eye want to linger longer on the wall.
Use different sizes: A large main image (e.g., 50x70 cm) flanked by two smaller ones (30x40 cm) creates a balanced and professional feel.
In my shop, I have divided the motifs into collections so that you can easily find pictures that speak the same language. Whether you want a minimalist black and white wall or a colorful tribute to summer, the motifs are here.
